COAS witnesses formation training at Salehpat's field firing ranges
Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday emphasized that effective integration of various arms and services during training is imperative for befitting response to adversary during war.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS visited Panu Aqil where he was given a detailed briefing on operational preparedness of the desert formation training in the field.
Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa also witnessed training of formation at Field Firing Ranges, Salehpat.
The participating troops demonstrated integrated battle drills by various components as part of the defensive battle in the desert including fire and maneuver.
Interacting with troops, the Army Chief appreciated their combat readiness, training standards, and high morale while training under such tough conditions.
He also planted a tree as part of the Sarsabz-o-Shadab Pakistan Campaign.
Gen Bajwa commended formation for this undertaking in unfavorable desert conditions aimed at preservation of the environment and strengthening the defense of the area.
Later, the COAS visited the family of Sepoy Hizb Ullah Jatoi martyred, in village Dattar Dino; Pano Aqil, who embraced shahadat on 5 September 2021 in an IED attack on FC troops deployed in Quetta.
He inquired about the well-being of the family and directed all concerned to ensure the welfare of the families of martyrs; who have sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland.
