83 people were on board third boat, including 76 Pakistanis


Islamabad: The investigative report of the overturning of the boats of illegal immigrants in the Greek maritime boundaries has come out.
The Athens Embassy sent the investigation report to the Government of Pakistan.
According to the report, three boats had an accident in the sea limits of Greece, that had departed from Tabruk area of Libya. 45 people including six Pakistanis were on board in the first boat and everyone including the Pakistani boy on this boat were saved.
The investigation report said that 47 people including five Pakistanis were on board in the second boat and have also been rescued.
The report further states that 83 people were on board the third boat, including 76 Pakistanis, three Bangladeshis, two Egyptians and two Sudanese drivers. 39 people from the third boat were rescued, including 36 Pakistanis.
Among those rescued is the Sudanese driver of the boat who has been arrested.
The report states that the bodies of five people were found in the third boat, which are Pakistanis. Four of these five bodies were identified as Sufyan, Rehman Ali, Haji Ahmed and Abid. However, the body of the 5th Pakistani could not be identified as yet.
According to the report, the dead people belong to Sialkot, Gujarat and Mandi Bahauddin. 39 people on board the third boat are still missing, including 35 Pakistanis.
On the other hand, the case of Yunan killing accident has been registered in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) complaint in Gujranwala police station and Qamar-ul-Zaman alias Khurram Jaja has been named as an accused, including his brother Usman and four others.
