Petrol station attack 'kills 9' in Sadiqabad

Sadiqabad: At least nine people including eight of the same family have been killed after dacoits belonging to notorious ‘Andhar gang’ allegedly opened fire at two petrol stations in Sadiqabad, district Rahim Yar Khan. 

As per details, the gunmen of gang arrived at the petrol pump on three motorcycles and forced their entry into the manager’s office where eight men of their rival group were present.

Reportedly, the nine men were shot dead in broad daylight over informing police about dacoits’ criminal activities and hideouts. 

The deceased are identified as Munawar Indhar (30), Ghulam Nabi Indhar (60), Mohammad Sharif (18), Farooq Ahmad (18), Nazir Ahmed (60), Pir Baksh (45), Zaheer (25) and Allah Daad (60). 

All were employees at the petrol pump, and died on the spot.

As per sources, the gang was operating audaciously and kidnapping for ransom on daily basis. 

After the killings, scores of locals gathered on Guddu Road and protested against the incident, demanding immediate arrest of suspects.

Moreover, the grieving families burned the tires and asked the police to take action on the matter, immediately.

The incident left people residing in the area scared and haunted.
