Pakistan sees below five COVID deaths for second consecutive day
Pakistan recorded the lowest daily COVID-19 death count of 2021 after just 3 people lost their lives to the virus.
Islamabad: The number of daily COVID-19 infections continued to decline in Pakistan as the country reported only three deaths during past 24 hours.
As per National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) stats, the country logged below five fatalities from coronavirus in a single day for the second consecutive day today.
Around 323 fresh coronavirus cases emerged while 3 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 28,663.
According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 323 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
The total number of cases has reached 1,282,195.
As many as 1,230,970 patients have recovered from the disease.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 442,479 in the province with 12,999 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 474,243 in the province, while the death toll has reached 7,611.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 179,604 in the province with 5,816 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 33,444 confirmed cases while 358 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 34,536 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 741. On the other hand, there are 10,406 cases in GB with 186 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 107,483 cases in the capital city while 952 people have lost their lives.
