Policeman martyred in attack on polio team

Tank: A policeman was martyred and another injured in an attack by unidentified assailants on a polio vaccination team in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Tank.

According to details, the incident took place in Tank, Dera Ismail Khan District of KP, when armed men on a motorcycle attacked the policemen assigned to protect a polio vaccination team, killing one security official and injuring another.

DPO Sajjad Ahmed said that the armed men fled the scene. Police search operation to find them is underway.

The body of the martyred security personnel and injured are being shifted to the hospital, the DHO stated.
