Muzaffarabad: An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit parts of parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and all districts of Gilgit Baltistan on Monday.
As per reports, tremors were also felt in different districts of Azad Kashmir including Skardu and Shigar. The epicentre of the earthquake was determined to be 10 kilometres deep along the northern area.
The earthquake occurred at 6:31pm local time.
Fearing any untoward situation, people came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses of "Kalma Tayyaba." However, no causalities or damage were reported so far.
