Woman visited to a faith healer for a male offspring due to her husband’s desire
Peshawar: In a shocking incident, a pregnant woman in Peshawar hammered a one-and-a-half-inch nail into her head on the advice of a supposed faith healer for a baby boy desire.
According to the reports, a woman shifted to a hospital with a nail hammered into her head, allegedly on the directions of a fake healer, in order to give birth to a baby boy.
The woman was rushed to Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital, where she told the doctors that the nail was lodged into her head due to “an accident.”
Later, this incident became viral on social media and the police took the notice of this matter. This move has left doctors stunned and police searching for the victim and culprit.
After photos of the incident went viral on social media, police took notice and met with hospital staff to interview doctors and review the victim’s medical files, as well as CCTV footage. A search for the victim and the fake pir are underway.
In the hospital, neurosurgeon Dr Haider confirmed that she was pregnant and had suffered a severe head injury. The woman underwent surgery in Lady Reading Hospital where a nail was successfully removed from her head.
When doctors pressed the woman to tell the truth, the woman revealed that a faith healer was behind the episode. She also explained that she visited to a faith healer for a male offspring due to her husband’s desire.
On the other hand, Peshawar City Police Chief Officer (CCPO) Abbas Ahsan has said that the hospital had not informed the police about the incident and after learning about it from social media they have formed a team to investigate the issue.
