Norway has been the most successful nation at the Winter Olympic Games since they began in 1924


Beijing: Norway has reached the top of the 2022 Winter Olympics medal count with multiple medals— including 13 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze medals.
Norway is dominating the Beijing Olympics Medals table with a total of 28 medals—the most of any team.
The Scandinavian country's athletes bring home baskets of medals every four years, and they're doing it again in Beijing.
Germany is at second position with 10 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals while the United States is at third position with 8 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Host nation China is in fourth with seven golds and 13 medals overall.
In Winter Olympics 2022, nearly 100 countries are competing in Beijing with almost 3,000 athletes representing them.
A total of 109 events will be held in 15 disciplines across seven sports including biathlon, bobsleigh, curling, ice hockey, luge, skating and skiing.
Twelve different venues, split between the zones of Beijing, Zhangjiakou and Yanqing have been used during the 17 days of the Games.
It is pertinent to mention here that Norway has been the most successful nation at the Winter Olympic Games since they began in 1924—having amassed a total of 368 medals before Beijing.
The United States followed Norway in the medal count with 305.
