Cold, dry weather to prevail in parts of country

Islamabad: Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

However, partly cloudy weather with light rain/snow is likely in Pothohar region, central/south Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning:      

Islamabad and Muzaffarabad 6 degree centigrade, Lahore 12, Karachi 18, Peshawar 8, Quetta and Murree 2 and Gilgit 8 degree centigrade. 

According to Met office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather with chances of light rain and snow is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula while partly cloudy and very cold in Leh.

Temperature recorded this morning: Srinagar, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula -1 degree centigrade, Jammu 8, Leh -12 and Pulwama -2 degree centigrade.
