Islamabad: Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Monday met with Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence.
According to sources, a 30-minute one-on-one meeting was also held between former president Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
According to the sources, both the leaders discussed the number-game on the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan during the meeting. Zardari informed Maulana Fazlur Rehman about the contacts with the government allies.
The sources also said that they also decided to give tough time to the government by maintaining contacts with the parliamentarians.
“Zarari said Maulana Sahib you have become weak, take care of yourself. Maulana Fazlur Rehman replied that everything was going on with time,” said sources.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari arrived at Maulana’s residence in Islamabad where Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Akram Khan Durrani, and Maulana Asad Mahmood warmly welcomed him.
In the meeting, they discussed consultations on the no-confidence motion and contacts with allies.
on the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will meet second time in Lahore tomorrow to discuss anti-government strategy.
Sources told GNN that insiders in PML-N had confirmed the meeting between the two leaders. They said no other PPP leader would be present in the meeting as Yousaf Raza Gilani, Farhat Ullah Babar and Nayyar Bokhari have nnot been invited to attend the meeting.
Sources further said Pakistan Democratic Movement chief Mualana Fazlur Rehman would meet Asif Zardari any time today.
