Lahore: In what appeared to be an exciting match, Peshawar Zalmi beat Lahore Qalandars in the super over of 30th match played in the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Qaddafi Stadium on Monday.
Lahore Qalandars skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi smashed 22 runs in the final over of the match against Peshawar Zalmi and led his team to another chance at the super over.
Afridi smashed three sixes and a four to take the match to the super over.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi set 159-run target for Lahore Qalandars in the last match before the playoffs of the ongoing seventh edition of PSL.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bat first against Lahore Qalandars.
The winner will play table-toppers Multan Sultan in the playoff, while loser will face injuries-hit Islamabad United in the first eliminator.
Both teams will be relaxed in tonight's clash as they have already qualified for the next stage, but the match will decide who will face table-toppers Multan Sultan and which team will take on an injury-hit Islamabad United.
