Pakistan marks five years of operation Radd-ul-Fasaad
Started in 2017, operation Radd-ul-Fasaad is a codename of a combined military operation by Pakistani military.
Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has Tuesday paid tributes to the supreme sacrifices of martyrs and spirit of the nation in the war on terrorism.
He said this in a statement on the occasion of five years of operation Radd-ul-Fasaad which was launched to consolidate gains of two decades long war on terror and eliminate remnants of terrorists across the country.
On official twitter handle, DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said operation Radd-ul-Fasaad placed security of people of Pakistan as core objective.
The DG ISPR said the anti-terror operation continued successfully as the country transitioned from uncertainty to peace.
He further stated that the achievements of Radd-ul-Fasaad have only been possible due to blood of martyrs and resilience of our people.
Started in 2017, operation Radd-ul-Fasaad is a codename of a combined military operation by Pakistani military in support of local law enforcement agencies to disarm and eliminate the terrorist sleeper cells across the country.
The operation involved area clearance through Kinetic Operations and development projects for the socio-economic uplift of the people—aiming to eliminate the threat of terrorism and ensuring the security of Pakistan's borders.
The operation is ongoing active participation from Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Police and other Warfare and Civil Armed Forces managed under the Government of Pakistan. More than 375,000 operations have been carried out against terrorists so far.
