World Scout Day is celebrated across the world in order to spread awareness about the great deeds done by scouts.

World Scout Day is being observed today (February 22), the birthday of Robert Baden-Powell, 1st Baron Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, and coincidentally also of his wife Olave Baden-Powell.
The day is celebrated as World Thinking Day by Boy Scouts and Girl Guides / Girl Scouts, and World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) worldwide.
World Scout Day is celebrated across the world in order to spread awareness about the great deeds done by scouts and to attract more people, encouraging them to be part of the scouting movement.
Scouts’ Day or Guides’ Day is a generic term for special days observed by members of the Scouting movement throughout the year. Some of these days have religious significance, while others may be a simple celebration of Scouting.
Typically, it is a day when all members of Scouting reaffirm the Scout Promise.
It is an opportunity to speak out on issues that affect young women and fundraise for 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 150 countries.
Each year, the day is celebrated to honour the birth anniversary of Robert Baden-Powell also known as 1st Baron Baden-Powell, who was considered a pioneer in the world of scouting as he started and popularized the scouting movement.
