Quetta: Veteran politician and National Democratic Party (NDP) leader Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch has died in a traffic accident.
Chengaiz Chalgari confirmed the death of his father, saying that he was on his way to Bahawalpur from Lahore when his vehicle met an accident.
According to family, Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch was travelling in a car when it met an accident near Bahawalpur, resulting in the immediate death of the nationalist leader. The body is being shifted to his native area of Bolan after fulfilling medico-legal formalities.
The deceased became member of the National Assembly in 1970, and he was one of the key leaders of Balochistan National Movement. He formed his own political party NDP in 2018.
