Deeply shocked to learn about passing away of India’s Representative at Ramallah, says Indian Foreign Minister
Ramallah: Indian ambassador to Palestine Mukul Arya was found dead inside the embassy in Ramallah on Sunday.
According to the Indian media reports, Palestinian authorities said they are in contact with the Indian external affairs ministry to complete the arrangements to send Arya’s body to India.
There has been no information about how he actually died. The authorities said they are investigating it.
“Deeply shocked to learn about the passing away of India’s Representative at Ramallah, Shri Mukul Arya,” Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar expressed his grief in a tweet.

Arya, who was an IAS officer of 2008 batch, had assumed the role of Indian representative to the State of Palestine last year.
Previously, Arya worked at the Indian embassies in Kabul and Moscow, and at the headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi.
Moreover, he has was also part of India’s permanent delegation to UNESCO in Paris.
