Aleem Khan will leave for London today to meet Jahangir Tareen
Important political issues will be discussed during the meeting.
Lahore: Former provincial minister Abdul Aleem Khan will leave for London to meet PTI disgruntled leader Jahangir Tareen on Tuesday (today).
According to the sources, important political issues will be discussed during the meeting.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry and Sindh Governor Imran Ismail met with Aleem Khan and conveyed a special message from Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to him.
“I will consult with Tareen regarding the prime minister’s message,” he told to Fawad Chaudhry and Imran Ismail.
It should be noted that Fawad Chaudhry and Imran Ismail had reached the residence of Aleem Khan after meeting with Imran Khan.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar stated that Abdul Aleem Khan is not acceptable as Punjab chief minister (CM) under any circumstances. As per sources, the incumbent chief minister said that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi should be given the post.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi thanked the Chief Minister for proposing his name, said sources.
A day earlier, the inside story of Jahangir Tareen Group’s consultative meeting came to light.
Following the meeting, the members of Punjab Assembly said that Usman Bazdar was not suitable and there would be no discussion with the party.
Sources said that Jahangir Tareen Group welcomed Aleem Khan and Provincial Minister Asif Nakai.
At present a struggle will be waged for the removal of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar., however, the final result will be announced in a couple of days.
Punjab ministers meet with Pervez Elahi
The PML-Q leadership advised the PTI to take major political decisions, sources said, adding
current political situation demanded that the government go ahead and take a decision first.
"The situation is rapidly getting out of the government's hands, Pervez Elahi.Whoever decides first gets the upper hand in politics," the Speaker Punjab Assembly advised.
Sources further quoted the PML-Q leader as having said the situation was changing from moment to moment as consultations were also being held on this situation and contacts were also being made.
Important meeting at Tareen's house
Members of Jahangir Tareen group continued to visit Jahangir Tareen's residence. Aun Chaudhry, Salman Naeem, Lala Tahir Randhawa, Noman Langarial, Khurram Leghari, Ajmal Cheema, Abdul Hai Dasti, Aslam Bharwana arrived to discuss current political scenario.
Other who also joined the meeting were Saeed Nawani, Zawar Hassan, Bilal Warraich, Iftikhar Gondal, Amin Chaudhry, Ghulam Sangha and Qasim Linga.
