Shehbaz Sharif requests Sirajul Haq to support no-confidence motion
Sirajul Haq demands overhauling of system: Backs fresh mandate as PTI govt has miserably failed: JI Shura to take final decision
Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday met with Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Chief Sirajul Haq in a bid to gather more support against Prime Minister Imran Khan and in favor of a no-confidence motion against him.
Speaking to the media after their meeting, Shehbaz said that he had appealed to Haq to support the opposition’s no-confidence motion.
After the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said that yesterday he had requested Sirajul Haq for a meeting. “I am thankful to Sirajul Haq that he gave time for the meeting. I have requested Sirajul Haq to support the no-confidence motion from the opposition alliance. The no-confidence motion is not only a wish of a single person but of the masses,” he added.
On this occasion, Sirajul Haq said that the government has made it difficult for the masses to live. “We will put forward our point with unity before the nation. Changing people is also not the solution to the problem until the system is not changed. We will consider Shehbaz Sharif’s recommendations in our party meeting. The no-confidence motion is a constitutional procedure,” he maintained.
