Rawalpindi: The 53rd martyrdom anniversary of Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, is being observed today.
According to ISPR, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Service Chiefs, and the Armed Forces of Pakistan have paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz Shaheed who was a paragon of extraordinary courage and unwavering patriotism.
During the 1971 war at the Wagah border, his fearless assault on enemy positions, despite insurmountable odds, stands as a profound testament to his exceptional bravery and steadfast devotion to the nation.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has paid rich tribute to Lance Naik Muhammad Mahfooz Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider on his 53rd martyrdom anniversary being observed today.
In a statement, he said Lance Naik Muhammad Mahfooz Shaheed demonstrated exemplary courage and bravery while fighting the enemy in the war of 1971.
The Prime Minister said it was Muhammad Mahfooz Shaheed's extraordinary prowess that he crushed the enemy's unbridled lust for power.
Lance Naik Muhammad Mahfooz Shaheed proved to be an impregnable wall of defence protecting his motherland. His spirit and unbreakable resolve to defend his country is a beacon of inspiration for the new generation.
