No-confidence motion: Inside story of Chaudhry Shujaat, Maulana Fazlur Rehman's meet-up

Islamabad: Inside story of Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid e Azam) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Maulana Fazlur Rehman's meet-up surfaced today, revealing that PML-Q had asked PDM chief for reconsidering the option of making Pervez Elahi "Chief Minister of Punjab" without any condition.

According to details, Chaudhry Shujaat met Maulana Fazlur Rehman in a bid to convince the opposition. In the meeting, Chaudhry brothers have also given up their terms to support the opposition.

Sources said that Chaudhry Shujaat agreed to cooperate with the opposition on the old offer of Maulana.

Sources said that Chaudhry Shujaat requested Maulana Fazlur Rehman to make Pervez Elahi Chief Minister on PDM's conditions. In response to which Maulana Fazlur Rehman said Chaudhry Sahib! You're too late, you didn't make a timely decision, so we worked on other options. 

Maulana complained to Chaudhry Shujaat that even after accepting Shahbaz Sharif's invitation, he did not do well by abruptly refusing. "You are dear to us, you have come, so I will talk to PML-N leadership", Maulana added.

Sources said that after the meeting last night, Maulana conveyed the message of Chaudhry Shujaat to him in a meeting with Shahbaz Sharif. Shahbaz Sharif sought time for consultation with Nawaz Sharif and the party.

According to sources, Chaudhry Shujaat will also meet former President Asif Ali Zardari at 5 pm today and offer him cooperation.

PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain called on Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad and discussed the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan and the current political situation.

Opposition parties have filed a no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan in the National Assembly.

Government ally PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain reached his house in Islamabad to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman, accompanied by Housing Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain discussed the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan and the current political situation.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman also complained to Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain about not attending Shahbaz Sharif’s dinner.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that it hurt me not to attend the dinner, Shahbaz Sharif is also angry about it.
