He says the projectile travelled 124kms inside Pakistan from India

Rawalpindi: Director-General of the Inter-Service Public Relations, Major General Babar Iftikhar said on Thursday that Pakistan Air Force had shot down an Indian projectile that entered Pakistani airspace and violated international conventions.
Addressing a press conference, he said Pakistan strongly condemned the Indian violation of its airspace, adding the projectile travelled 124kms inside Pakistan from India.
"We detected the object on time and took necessary action as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs)," he said, adding that no casualties took place because of the incident.
"Some material damage was caused to a building because of the object and a crater was formed," he said.

To a question, the DG ISPR said: "We were absolutely monitoring the flight path of this object."
Maj Gen Iftikhar confirmed that there was "no sensitive installation in the area where the object was shot down."
He explained that At 6:43pm [on Thursday], a high-speed flying object was picked up inside the Indian territory by the Air Defence Operation Centre of the Pakistan Airforce.
"From its initial course, the object suddenly manoeuvred towards the Pakistani territory and violated Pakistan's airspace [before] ultimately falling near Mian Channu at 6:50pm."
He said when the projectile fell, it damaged some civilian property, adding thaknfully no loss or injury to human life was reported.
PAF continuously monitored the complete flight path of the flying object from its point of origin near Sirsa in India till its point of impact near Mian Channu.
The ISPR DG said PAF initiated requisite tactical actions in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and that the flight path of the object endangered many international and domestic passenger flights both in Indian and Pakistani airspace as well as human life and property on the ground.
