OIC FMs meeting: Fazlur Rehman asks caravans to enter Islamabad on March 25
The PDM chief advises participants to avoid entering the federal capital on March 23
Islamabad: Pakistan Democratic Movement chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday asked the participants of long march to reach Islamabad on March 25 instead of March 23 keeping in view the upcoming meeting of the foreign ministers of Organization Islamic Conferenece.
He told reportets the long march would begin on March 23 and participants of the march would assemble in the federal capital by March evening.
The Opposition leader said nearby caravans would wait for distant caravans.
Fazal said due to the OIC Foreign Ministers' Conference, the opposition had changed the schedule of the long march.
"OIC foreign ministers are our guests. We don't want them to have any problems and inconvenience," he said, adding incoming guests should not face any inconvenience. "We all need to respect the OIC foreign ministers. It is our duty to honor the guests."
He ruled out the withdrawal of the no-confidence motion, saying the colaition partners would not stand with the government and by tomorrow the situation would be very clear.
The PDM chief said the workers of the Opposition parties would remain in Islamabad for a few days. "We will stay here for a few days, and will not go back. We are not competing with the public meeting of PTI."
He claimed that the situation was changing by the hour.
