The CEC points out that since the session is not in order today, he will not accept requests like this

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rejected PTI's request to adjourn the foreign funding case and stated that the hearings for this case have been due for seven years now.
The statement was issued by the chief election commissioner today in response to the plea of adjournment presented by PTI's lawyer. Upon PTI's request, the chief election commissioner also agreed to not disclose details about the party's funding to anyone.
Farrukh Habib, a member of the National Assembly, replied on behalf of PTI and said he wants the hearings of PML-N and PPP's prohibited funding cases to be heard by the court as well.
The chief election commissioner pointed out that since the session is not in order today, he will not accept requests like this. He further announced that the hearing will be held on March 17.
Earlier, a report of an ECP scrutiny committee probing the PTI's funds revealed that the party provided "false information" regarding its funding.
It said that SBP's bank statement revealed that the party had received Rs1.64 billion in funding.
According to the report, the party did not disclose funding worth more than Rs310 million to the ECP.
