London: Former England, Warwickshire and Surrey bowler Joey Benjamin has died at the age of 60 following a cardiac arrest. The news was announced on Tuesday.

Joey Benjamin was born in St Kitts and made his name playing county cricket for Warwickshire and Surrey, and appeared in his only Test against South Africa in 1994.
In English cricket he took 387 first-class wickets in an 11-year career. He also played two one-day internationals for England.
Both of his former county sides Surrey and Warwickshire confirmed his death.
Surrey County Cricket Club is mourning the loss of Joey Benjamin, who died on Monday 8th March following a heart attack, aged 60.

Moreover, Benjamin signed for Warwickshire in 1988 after a spell in the minor counties before seven years with Surrey between 1992 and 1999.
The England and Wales Cricket Board also tweeted, "We re saddened to learn of the death of former England seamer Joey Benjamin, who has died at the age of 60. Our thoughts are with Joey s family and friends at this time".
