He has gained seven positions to reach number three in the latest MRF Tyres ICC men’s ODI player rankings.
Meanwhile, Pakistan all-format captain Babar Azam, who scored 276 runs against the Aussies, has consolidated his position at the top spot with 891 points.
With a difference of just 16 points, former India captain Virat Kohli (811) is sitting at the second spot in the rankings.
Meanwhile, Australia skipper Aaron Finch who has recently struggled to find his rhythm in the ODIs against Pakistan has slipped three spots to number 10.
Travis Head who made full use of the opportunity to open innings for Australia managed to gain five spots to No.34.
