Article 144 imposed around 500 meters of the premises of Punjab Assembly

Lahore: Punjab Home department has imposed Article 144 around 500 meters of the premises of Punjab Assembly as there is a fear of protest demonstration at Punjab Assembly by the joint opposition.

According to the notification issued here on Wednesday, Punjab Rangers has been called in to take charge of security measures. Any person who will try to disrupt the law and order will be taken in to custody as per MPO 16. Not more than four people can gather around Punjab Assembly after the imposition of Article 144
