Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who was the party's candidate for the top slot, on Monday announced mass resignation from the National Assembly.
According to details, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that they have decided not to be part of the elections for leader of the house and were going to tender their resignation.
Following the announcement, PTI MNAs have walked out of the session to elect the new prime minister.
Before staging the walkout, PTI’s Shah Mehmood Qureshi said taking part in this election will be akin to legitimizing the incoming government.
