‘Whether right or sad, acceptance should be dignified’: Shahid Afridi
“Accusations, conspiracies, even defeats are part of the game of power".
Karachi: Pakistan’s ace cricketer Shahid Afridi felicitated newly elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for becoming the 23rd premier of the country on social media. However, Twitter is divided over Lala’s support towards former Chief Minister of Punjab.
On his official twitter handle, former national captain Shahid Afridi had congratulated Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on assuming office, hoping that he would succeed in pulling Pakistan out of the current political and economic crises using his ‘best administrative abilities’.
He concluded his tweet with long live Pakistan (Pakistan Zindabad).

However, many of netizens took to twitter and wrote down their sentiments regarding the surprising twist of Shahid Afridi throwing his support behind Shahbaz Sharif.
Many took to Twitter to voice their disappointment, however, several stood firm with Afridi for his honest opinion.
Then, in another tweet, Shahid Afridi wrote: “Accusations, conspiracies, even defeats are part of the game of power".
He further added, "In the pages of history, the moral standard, the supremacy of the constitution, comes into play”.

In the wee hours of Tuesday, Lala again turned to twitter and wrote: "Everyone wants the truth but no one wants to be honest".
“Happy Sehri Hour” added Afridi.
