Islamabad: In what appears to be unfolding of its agenda for ‘recovery’, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government Tuesday revised working hours in government institutions and abolished two weekly off days.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued directions for implementation of relief measures announced by him yesterday in the National Assembly (NA).

The government decided to change office timings to change the office timings. The offices will now open at 8am instead of 10am with eight working hours.

As per latest directions, there will be only one weekly off day in government offices.

On his first day in office, Shehbaz reached PM Office at 7am, sending officials into panic as his surprise arrival early in the morning worried the employees and officers who had not reached office.

Notably, Shehbaz Sharif is largely known for his punctuality.

Shehbaz Sharif has directed concerned authorities to ensure strict monitoring of Sasta Bazaars during Ramadan-ul-Mubarak in order to ensure provision of quality items to the people at reduced rates.

He said no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.

Moreover, the Premier directed to immediately implement the announcements made regarding increase in pension and minimum wage of twenty-five thousand rupees.

Talking to the staff of PM Office, the Prime Minister said we have come to serve the masses and no moment will be wasted.
