Karachi: Sindh Rangers and Police have arrested three terrorists of a banned organisation in a combined operation on Saturday.
Khan Bahadur alias Qari Basit, Hayat Ullah and Nur Mohammad alias Baitullah, were arrested from Ittehad Town. A large cache of arms and explosives was recovered from the terrorists who had previously been involved in cracker attacks and bomb explosions.
The terrorists had reached Karachi from Afghanistan during the past few weeks. They had joined TTP Maulvi Fakir Muhammad Group in 2008.
In 2014 they joined Daesh and conducted multiple terrorist activities. In 2008 the three attacked forces in multiple attacks in Bajaur Agency and Qila Bazaar. In an attack conducted on 2012 many security personnel were injured and martyred. In 2013 they were involved in carrying out in bomb explosions in Salarzai, Bajaur resulting in injuries and death of many civilians.
All three have been handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
