Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate Metro Bus Service from Peshawar Morr to New Islamabad International Airport on Monday (today).
On the occasion, the Prime Minister will travel in Metro Bus and also address the inaugural ceremony.
The long delayed project caught the attention of the Prime Minister on his first day in office when he directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take steps to launch the service within five days.
Since then, officials and other concerned departments have been on their toes to launch the service.
Shehbaz Sharif even pressed the CDA to run the bus service on Thursday but the CDA chairman requested him for two days, saying lane marking required time.
Reportedly, Rs16 billion had been spent on the project but it was still incomplete.
Moreover, the metro bus service would have the facility for the passengers to carry luggage.
