Eight people were killed after workers clashed at Mexican cement plant
Mexico City: At least eight people were killed while 11 others sustained injuries following a shootout at the Cruz Azul cement plant in the town of Tula in the central Mexican state of Hidalgo, the regional governor said.
According to details, the incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday when unknown gunmen tried to seize the plant but faced resistance organized by the employees.
According to authorities and officials, fighting erupted between two groups of rival workers at cement plant.
The death toll was announced by Hidalgo Gov. Omar Fayad in a statement condemning the violence at the industrial cement manufacturing plant of Ciudad Cooperative Cruz Azul, where two factions of employees have struggled for control of the site.
