Pervaiz asked if every time the provincial assembly had to take instructions from the police or courts, then it would be better if policemen and judges took their seats inside the assembly and start doing legislation.

Lahore: Speaker Punjab Assembly (PA) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said on Thursday that the whole nation has seen the true face of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMl-N) Sharif family, adding that there was no point in saying that there was a constitutional crisis in the province because Usman Buzdar was still the Punjab CM.
Addressing a presser in Lahore along with other Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders, he said the election, which was held in the provincial assembly’s visitors’ gallery, had no legal and constitutional status.
“The trouble started when the police entered the assembly building and baton-charged our MPAs. Even some of our female MPAs were injured. One female MPA is still at hospital in a critical condition,” he said, and held the deputy speaker and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders, including his rival Hamza Shehbaz and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, responsible for the police’s action inside the House. “Shehbaz gave instructions to the opposition MPAs to attack Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and PML-Q legislators over telephone,” he alleged.
Pervaiz asked if every time the provincial assembly had to take instructions from the police or courts, then it would be better if policemen and judges took their seats inside the assembly and start doing legislation.
