Outgoing police chief Ahsan Younus transferred to Punjab govt

Islamabad: The government on Saturday has appointed Akbar Nasir Khan as the new Islamabad IG Police.
According to details, the government removed Islamabad IG Younus and transferred him to Punjab, and appointed BPS 20 officer Akbar Nasir Khan as the new Islamabad IG police.
Mr Khan had already served in the National Counter Terrorism Authority Pakistan (NACTA).
Mr Younus was appointed as the Islamabad IGP in December 2021 by the previous PTI government.
