Lahore: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal Tuesday said that the policies of the previous government have caused severe damage to the economy during the last four years.
Talking to media in Lahore, he said due to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government's policies, the inflation increased and development sectors faced downward trends, which need time to be fixed.
Ahsan Iqbal said the PTI Chairman Imran Khan is trying to create unrest and polarization through hybrid warfare tools, but the government will not allow anyone to destabilize the country.
Earlier, addressing the ground-breaking ceremony of the Higher Education Commission-Seerat Centre for Gender Studies and Rights of Women at Johar Town, Ahsan Iqbal said the project would focus on how to counter the challenge of hate speech and Islamophobia through development of research-based culture in the study of Islam.
