Web Desk: The national hockey team delivered an impressive performance in their second match of the FIH Men’s World Cup Qualifier Round, held from March 1 to 7, defeating Malaysia 5–3 to secure a place in the semi-finals.
For Pakistan, Rana Waheed Ashraf, Zakaria Hayat, Ahmad Nadeem, Muhammad Sufyan Khan, and Muhammad Ammar each scored one goal. For Malaysia, Abdul Rauf, Ahkamullah, and Fitri Sari netted one goal apiece.

President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Mohiuddin Wani; Chairman of the Ad Hoc Governance and Management Committee, Olympian Islahuddin Siddiqui; Olympian Hasan Sardar; and Chief Selector Samiullah Khan congratulated the national team on their success in the second match and expressed their best wishes.
The national team will play their third qualifier match against Austria on March 4.
