PM Shehbaz meets Turkish President Erdogan
Ankara: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his three-day visit to Turkey.
During the meeting, PM Shehbaz and President Erdogan discussed bilateral relations between both countries and exchanged views on regional and international issues. After the meetings, they addressed a joint press statement.
A high-level delegation -- including Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Investment Board Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, PM’s special assistants Tariq Fatemi and Fahad Hussain -- is accompanying the prime minister.
Seven MOUs signed
Pakistan and Turkey on Wednesday signed various bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOUs) for enhanced cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest, including trade, economy, communication, environment and housing.
1) Memorandum of Understanding between the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and Public Private Partnership Authority of Pakistan.
2) Framework For Knowledge Sharing Program between the Government of Türkiye and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
3) Memorandum of Understanding on Highway Engineering between the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Communications of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
4) Joint Ministerial Statement on Developing Bilateral Trade and Economic Relations between the Republic of Türkiye and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
5) Technical Cooperation Protocol between the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye and Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
6) Cooperation Protocol on Debt Management between the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
7) Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye and NAYA Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Cooperation in the field of Housing
