Karachi: Pakistani politician and popular television host Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away, GNN reported on Thursday.
According to details, he was found dead in his residence. The politician was shifted to a private hospital in a critical situation.
He was taken to Agha Khan Hospital in very critical condition. The hospital administration said that the reason of death is unknown. An autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the reason about the death.
His servant said that Aamir Liaquat's condition started deteriorating at 10:30pm. "He was shifted to hospital," he added.
PTI's Member of National Assembly (MNA) Jamal Siddiqui confirmed the death.
Aaamir Liaquat was born on July 5, 1971. He was elected as Member National Assembly in 2002, later he took oath as a religious minister during General (retd) Pervaiz Musharraf’s regime. Hussain once again became MNA after 2018 elections on the ticket of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
