The protests will take place outside press clubs across the country

Islamabad: PTI leader and former federal minister Asad Umar has announced to hold countrywide protest against the arrest of senior journalist Imran Riaz Khan.
Taking to Twitter, Umar said the PTI workers would protest in front of press clubs across the country against the arrest of Imran Riaz Khan and the attempt to suppress freedom of expression.
It is to be noted that senior anchor person Imran Riaz Khan was arrested by the Attock police at Islamabad Toll Plaza on his way to Islamabad from Peshawar.
According to police, an FIR was registered against Imran Riaz in Attock, Punjab. Imran Riaz Khan is being shifted to the police station.
On the other hand, the arrest of Imran Riaz Khan is being condemned on social media by senior journalists, PTI leaders and other users.
PTI leader Asad Umar said that the arrest of Imran Riaz Khan was reprehensible.
PTI Farrukh Habib condemned the arrest of Imran Riaz and said that dissent could not be suppressed by such force.
