Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf have felicitated the nation and Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
The President, in his message, said the spirit of sacrifice carries a universal significance. He said sacrifice is not merely an act of animal slaughter but its real goal is to sacrifice personal desires for accomplishing a higher purpose.
The Prime Minister, in his message, said this holy day is a message of sacrifice and complete submission to Allah Almighty. He said Muslim Ummah will have to play a collective role in helping the deserving and destitute segments of society.
The Speaker National Assembly, in his message, said Eid-al-Adha reflects the values of sacrifice, compassion and happiness for us, however, true joy relates with taking care of the needy and to include them in our happiness.
Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar has felicitated the nation on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
In his message, the Law Minister said we need to understand the true spirit of the great sacrifice.
He urged the nation to take special care of the needy and deserving people on this auspicious occasion.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb also felicitated the entire Muslim Ummah and the nation.
In her message on Eid-ul-Adha, she said sacrifice means tolerance, obedience and humanity, which is liked by Allah SWT.
