Three injured in shooting at amusement park near Chicago

Illinois: At least three people sustained injuries in a shooting in the parking lot of the Six Flags Great America amusement park in Gurnee, Illinois, the park confirmed. 

As per details, the shots were fired from a single vehicle, which then drove away "immediately" after the shooting. 

Emergency personnel responded immediately and two people were transported to the hospital. A third injured person declined treatment, an official said. 

However, the park closed early in response to the shooting, with visitors and staff being led out by officers. 

The incident created chaos and confusion, with videos posted to social media showing parkgoers attempting to shelter in place or hide. 

As per sources, no arrests have been made.

The Gurnee Police Department is investigating the shooting.
