PM stresses upon acceleration of rescue, relief efforts in flood affected areas
The Army Chief informed the Prime Minister that he has issued special direction to the Commander Southern Command for relief activities in Balochistan.


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed upon acceleration of the rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts in the rains and flood affected areas.
He was telephonically talking to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lt. General Akhtar Nawaz, to discuss the flood situation, and rescue, relief and rehabilitation operations in the flood affected areas.
The Prime Minister directed for provision of helicopters to help in the rescue and relief operations, as the linking roads between Sindh and Balochistan provinces have been eroded.
