The suspects fled the scene

Charsadda: A police constable was martyred after unidentified terrorists hurled a hand grenade at the Khanmai police station in Charsadda on Monday evening, police said.
According to the GNN correspondent, two motorcylclists came to the police station situated near the border of Mardan district and hurled grenade.

The grenade exploded and left a police constable fatally wounded. Other policemen opened fire on the suspects who managed to flee.
Senior police officers rushed to the crime scene and began investigations. A search operation was launched in the area to trace and arrest the suspects.
ANP Punjab chapter president Aemal Wali Khan also reached the police station and condemned the act.
He said ANP had been issuing warning of reassembling of terrorists in the area, but the PTI government was asleep.
