PM Shehbaz Sharif leaves for London to attend Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral
State funeral of Queen Elizabeth II is to be held on September 19, 2022


Rawalpindi: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday left for the United Kingdom to attend the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb also accompanied the prime minister on the visit.
During his stay in London, the premier will meet his brother, former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif besides attending the last rites of Queen Elizabeth-II scheduled to be held on September 19, 2022.
He will leave for New York on the same day to participate in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly beginning from the 20th of this month. There he will address the UNGA’s session.
PM Shehbaz will also meet with world leaders on the sidelines of the session.
