Khairpur: At least six school children died on Monday when a speeding passenger van rammed into a motorcycle near Kot Lalu town of the Khairpur district.
According to details, local people rushed to the spot of the incident and shifted the deceased and injured to a nearby hospital on their own. They lamented a lack of response from the authorities concerned.
Following the horrific incident, three of the children died on the spot while the rest did not sustained their injuries and eventually succumbed to death in hospital.
Later, the family members of the deceased children along with local residents protested against the district administration and transporters on Mehran National Highway.As they blocked the complete road by setting fire to tyres.
