Kiwis defeat Bangladesh by 48 runs in fifth match, eliminating them from tri-series

Christchurch: Hosts New Zealand set to clash with Pakistan in the final of the T20 tri-series after defeating Bangladesh by 48 runs in the fifth match in Christchurch on Wednesday.
Bangladesh have so far played three matches in the tri-series and won none, which eliminated them from the race for the final. Their last match with Pakistan will be held tomorrow (Thursday), but its outcome will not impact the final now.
Set a massive target of 208 runs to win by the New Zealanders, the Bangladeshis could only manage to score 160 runs for seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Now Bangladesh will be playing their last match of the series with Pakistan on Thursday, October 13.
Meanwhile, the final match of the series will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand at Hagley Oval on October 14.
