Islamabad: A special court of Islamabad on Saturday extended the physical remand of PTI’s leader Azam Swati by one day in a case pertaining to a controversial tweet and ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to again produce him tomorrow.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had sought eight-day physical remand of Swati. However, the court extended the physical remand of the accused by one day.
During the previous hearing, the court granted the FIA a two-day physical remand of the accused. The court also ordered the FIA to conduct a medical examination of the accused.
It is pertinent to remember, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested senior PTI leader and former federal minister Senator Azam Khan Swati on October 13.
