T20 World Cup: Namibia beat Asian champions Sri Lanka by 55 runs in opening match

Sydney: Namibia caused a major upset in the opening match of the T20 World Cup on Sunday as they defeated Asian Champions Sri Lanka by 55 runs.
Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka won the toss and elected to bowl against Namibia in the opening match of the T20 World Cup in Geelong on Sunday.
Batting first, Namibia scored 163 runs for 7 wickets. Jan Frylinck scored 44 off 28 balls while JJ Smit played an unbeaten 31.
Chasing a target of 164 runs, the Sri Lankan team was bowled out for 108 runs.
The Asia Cup champions were hit by an injury to left-arm quick bowler Dilshan Madushanka and brought in Dushmantha Chameera and Pramod Madushan.
