Rawalpindi police registered a case against a four-year-old boy for allegedly attacking a couple with bricks and stones.

Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi police Wednesday registered a case against a four-year-old boy in Naseerabad police station for allegedly attacking a couple with bricks and stones.
As per the first information report (FIR), the kid identified as Ahmed bashed the couple with bricks and stones. The boy was produced in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Sohel Anjum.
Ahmed, was registered under the provisions of 337/A3 and was filed by a citizen named Ghulam Mustafa.
Expressing his indignation against the Additional Sessions Judge summoned the investigating officer along with the case record, declaring that an FIR cannot be registered against a child below ten years.
The judge, then, remarked that the police should have seen whether a child can even pick a brick or not.
During the hearing, the four-year-old's lawyer argued that the Naseerabad police station ‘blindly’ registered the case.
“The sentence imposed on Ahmed is 10 years imprisonment,” said the lawyer, adding that strict action should be taken against Rawalpindi SHO Naseerabad police station and the investigating officer for creating such a fiasco.
However, the judge dismissed allegations against the minor and ordered his immediate release.
In the meantime, Rawalpindi Police debunked the news saying it is ‘contrary to facts’.
