Reports said Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was travelling with his convoy to Rawalakot on a two-day visit when the attack occurred

PALLANDRI -- A security guard was killed and several people were injured after unidentified assailants opened fire on the convoy of former Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) prime minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, who recently joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).
The attack took place at Tain Dhalkot, where gunmen opened fire on the convoy. Former Special Assistant Sardar Imtiaz Shaheen was reportedly among those injured, while the firing shattered the windows of several vehicles travelling in the convoy.
Reports said Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was travelling with his convoy to Rawalakot on a two-day visit when the attack occurred.
The deceased security guard was identified as Sardar Asif Yousaf, a resident of Kotera Gorah, Pallandri. He had recently retired from security duty assigned to the Prime Minister of Pakistan and was serving as Sardar Tanveer Ilyas's personal security guard. He was killed after being struck in the head by a bullet.
