Many other police officials including SHO Ronti got injured during the fight.


Ghotki: At least five police officers including a district superintendent of police (DSP) and two station head officers (SHOs) were martyred during an operation against dacoits in the Katcha area of Ghotki, Sindh.
According to Police, DSP Obaro Abdul Maalik Bhutto, two SHOs and two other policemen embraced martyrdom during the intense gun battle.
Reports in local media suggest that the robbers stormed a police camp and held more than a dozen cops hostage, taking control of several police vehicles.
Following the attack, policemen from across the district and Sindh Rangers personnel have been called in for an operation against the dacoits.
During the combat with the dacoits, DSP Obaro Maalik Bhutto, SHOs Muhammad Leghari and Maalik Kamangar, Jatoi Patafi and Salim Chachar embraced martyrdom.
